RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE

CREW OF DOCKED AND


SWINGING-AT-ANCHOR VESSELS
UNDER THE PBIP CODE IN THE
PUERTO MONTT PORT
I. SPECIFIC MISSIONS

a) OPIP

coordinate with the OPB the accomplishment of the present plan by delivering a copy of this
procedure in an envelope so that to be opened when strictly established by the level of
protection two or three.  The recommendations indicated in paragraph three must be
delivered  in an open envelope so that the OPB provides the corresponding instructions  to
the crew.

b) OPB

Inform the crew about the recommendations of paragraph three, the present plan at the right
time and arrange its accomplishment when appropriate.

III.  RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SHIP CREW DURING THEIR STAY AT THE PORT

1) Disembark only with the necessary money when possible


2)  Must always carry the shore pass for identification
3)  Avoid walking around the city with expensive devices
4)  Money exchange at official houses
5)  Do not walk along city streets at night (between 23.00 and 7.00 hours)
6)  Prefer taxes
7)  Request critical places and dangerous spots in the city to the protection personnel of the port
facilities
8)  When getting into the port facilities please identify yourself with your shore pass
9)  In case of loss of personal identification documents you must attend to the entrance control of the
port facilities
10)  Stay far from the apron spring
11)  Avoid loading and discharge areas
12)  If disembarking to land or entering the port facilities with hand luggage or packages, they will be
supervised by customs personnel
13)  While you are in the city, if you have an emergency or accident, please inform the police the
name of your vessel and tell them to report to the shift protection manager of  of the port facilities in
Puerto Montt.
14)  The following activities are prohibited inside the port facilities:
a)  Riding a bike
b)  Practice jogging
c)  Walk around in places which are not direct between the vessel and the entrance control
d)  Entering the port facilities with strangers without the corresponding permission
