What are Business Analytics:

 Explain the relationship of the business analytics process with the organization decision-

making process.

The BA process can solve problems and identify opportunities to improve business

performance. In the process, organizations may also determine strategies to guide operations

and help achieve competitive advantages.

 Explain the relationship of analytics and business intelligence to the subject of business

analytics.

Business Intelligence uses both past and present knowledge, while Business Analytics

uses past data to obtain insights and perform business practices that stimulate consumer

desires and boost productivity.

 Do you think Business Analytics is significant in today’s environment? Why? and Why not.

Organizations employ Business analytics so they can make data-driven decisions.

Business analytics gives business an excellent overview and insight on how companies can

become more efficient, and these insights will enable such business to optimize and automate

their processes. It is no surprise that data-driven companies and make use of business analytics

usually outperform their contemporaries.

Data Collection:

 Examine table 2.t1 and identify the internal and external data and explain the importance of

those data.

The importance of internal and external data to a company is vital since it provides information

for companies to take the next appropriate action. To formulate accurate strategies to follow

the trend. Since internal data came from the organization they know how to compromise

internally while external data is what helps them calibrate their strategy.

The challenges in data collection are finding the sample, we need to have some type of

environmental scanning or observation before we could start collecting data, when collecting

data one of the challenges is if the respondents would take it seriously
