 Days of the Week Game: Rules
Grades: 1 - 2
Number of Players: 2 - 4

Requires:
* 7-sided Days of the Week die
* Days of the Week gameboard
* 2 - 4 player game pieces (chips, coins, tiny markers) - one for each player

How to play:
1. Place all game pieces on the START arrow to begin.
2. Youngest player goes first.
3. Roll the 7-sided die. Read aloud the Day of the Week that lands face up. Move your game piece to the FIRST square
that matches that name. (Example: if you roll the die and it reads “Tuesday” move to the first square along the
gameboard path with Tuesday written on it - 4 spaces in).
4. Each player takes a turn, continuing in the same way.
5. The first player to reach the Monday with the star around it (the last square) WINS!

Extension:
* Instead of players moving to the day of the week named on the die, have them move to one day before or two days after
the day shown. (Example: if you roll the die and it reads “Tuesday” move to Monday or Thursday instead). This requires
students to use their knowledge of the days of the week and their proper order.

* Name the days of the week, in order.
* Read the date on a calendar.
