As a long-term admirer of the impressive work being done by the team at TAQA Ghana, I
am delighted to submit my application for the entry level role as a graduate trainee. As a
recent mechanical engineering graduate, I would be very excited if I am given this
opportunity which in the long run will add value to myself and the company as a whole. I
learnt about your company through the company page at LinkedIn and after visiting your
website, I have immersed myself in the company’s good reputation in the energy sector.

I received my degree in Mechanical Engineering on September 2020 at the University of

Mines and Technology (UMaT). I am highly ambitious person who wants to achieve many
great things in life, and this job role is one that I am very passionate about. My academic
qualifications have given me a good foundation of working in this role and apart from
having the knowledge and drive to succeed, I am acutely aware of the importance of
collaborating with others effectively to always put the needs of the team I am part of first
and to make sure I learn things quickly so I can contribute to the company objectives. I
have maintained a CWA of 72.68 through a well-balanced program of study, which is not
only very analytical and technical by nature but also helps to build leadership and team
building qualities.

In addition, I worked as a Mechanical Engineering intern at Volta River Authority

(Aboadze) for three months as an intern. There, I joined their maintenance team in
undertaking preventive and planned maintenance practices on pumps, valves, centrifuge
and other equipment. I also assisted in the redevelopment and rebuilding activities done on
GT2 (Gas Turbine 2) in the year 2018. I am currently working at an automobile company
(Master Gideon Automobile Workshop) in the Tarkwa locality to gain more practical skills
and experience in automotive engineering. As a versatile person, I was untroubled when I
was posted to Fiaseman Senior High School to serve the nation which ended in July 2021.
