The Illiterate Lady.

In a Korea, there was a village. There was a milkman who lived nearby. Kinney was her name.
She had built his hut in the woods, far from her village. She preferred the peace and quiet of the
woods to the bustle of the village. Kinney shared her hut with two cows. She fed them well and
cared for them properly. He took the two cows to a nearby lake to bathe them every day. The two
cows produced more milk. He was able to live happily ever after thanks to the milk provided by
the two cows.
Kinney was a trustworthy woman. She was content, but she was restless at times. "There is so
much wrong and evil in this world; is there no one to guide the people?" This thought saddens
her every now and then.

Kinney, an illiterate lady, was returning home one evening after selling milk in the village. She
saw a saint meditating under a tree. He approached him slowly, waiting for the saint to open his
eyes. She was relieved to spend some time with the saint. She decided to stay there until the saint
opened his eyes.
After a while, the saint gradually opened his eyes. He was surprised to see a lady patiently sitting
beside him.

What do you desire? “Humbly inquired the saint.

I'm curious about the path to Truth and Piety. Honesty, where can I find it? “Inquired Kinney

"Go to the nearby pond and ask the fish the same question," the saint said with a smile. She will
provide you with the answer.

The illiterate lady, kianne, then went to the nearby pond and asked the same question to the fish.
"O kind lady!" said the fish. "First, bring me some water to drink," Deny exclaimed, "you live in
water, but you still want water to drink?"
At this point, the fish responded, "You are correct. And now you have the answer to your
question. A lady's heart contains truth, piety, and honesty. But, because she is illiterate, she looks
for them in the outside world. Instead of going from place to place, look within yourself and you
will find them."

This gave Kinney a lot of satisfaction. She thanked the fish and returned home, a wiser woman.
She altered her perception of the world as well as of herself. Kinney has never felt restless since
that day.

She did everything she could to spread this message to the rest of their fellow humans. All of his
friends accepted her as their master and sought her advice to solve their mental problems. She
was a good leader.
