Summary of the Webinar Last October 15, 2021

Last October 15, 2021, Friday, the Mandaue City College National Service Training-
Program Civil Welfare Training Service (NSTP-CWTS) conducted a webinar about “Tips on
how to vote during election” where they taught the students on what they should do during
the day of the election. The speaker during the webinar was a Mandaue City Comelec
representative: Attorney Ann Gujilde. In Atty Gujilde’s tips on how to vote during the
election, she mentioned that first thing to do before voting is to know what time and where
to vote. She said that we should familiarize ourselves with the location of our poling precinct
and to know when is the best time to vote. We should also prepare our list of who to vote
for before the election day so that voting will not take a lot of our time. We were also
advised to follow the social distancing rule and to always bring water and hand sanitizer
with us, as well as wearing face mask and face shield. At the poling place, we need to
identify ourselves to make sure that we are a registered voter. Next is to get our ballot and
to choose our candidates. She told us about the number indicated by each position so we
can vote properly. We were also told to not use our phones while we vote and to not take
pictures of our ballot because this is an election offense. The last one is to cast our ballot.
After Atty. Gujilde’s remarks, she announced that there will be an extended voting
registration starting from October 11-30, 2021, at Jcentre Mall, Mondays to Saturdays. Finally,
she entertained questions regarding the voting process.
