Lady Lovelace Sweater

The Lady Lovelace Sweater is cozy and comfortable,
oversized to give you ease of movement and cropped to fit
with a variety of outfits - and perfect for layering in the fall
and winter.

Knit in a super soft, chunky weight yarn, the Lady Lovelace

Sweater knits up quickly, and the lace creates a beautiful
scalloped edge.

Pattern
Body
With larger circular needles, CO 106 (118, 130, 144,
156, 168, 182). Being careful not to twist the sts,
place SM A to note the beginning of the rnd, and
join to knit in the round. Place SM B after 53 (59,
65, 72, 78, 84, 91) sts to mark halfway point.
Knit: K 1 (4, 7, 2, 5, 8, 3), knit first rnd of pattern 3
(3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 5) times , knit to SM B, rep from beg to
end of rnd.
Cont in this patt for 10" / 25.5 cm (or desired
length).
Separate for front and back by placing half of the
sts on a spare thread. Begin to work flat.
Front
Next row: BO 3 sts, then cont in est patt until the
end. Turn your work. BO 3 sts at the beg of the next
row, and purl back in est patt. 47 (53, 59, 66, 72, 79,
85) sts remaining.

Cont for 2" / 5 cm.
Then: K in est patt for 20 (20, 22, 22, 25, 25, 28), BO 7

Turn your work, purl back in est patt.
Note: If unable to work in est lace pattern, beg to

For back right, cont in St st, and dec at the beg of
next RS row at collar with k2tog once. Then cont until

BO all sts for back right.
Collar
Using the mattress st, knit together the front shoul-
der seams to the back shoulder seams.
Starting at the bottom left corner of the collar and
moving towards the neck and finishing at the bottom
right corner of the neckline, PU 48 (58,68, 78, 88, 98,
108) sts and knit in a *k1, p1* rib st for 1" / 1.5 cm.
BO all sts.
Sleeves (Make 2)
With larger needles, PU 44 (48, 52, 56, 60, 60, 64)
sts, place SM A to mark the beg of the rnd and join
together to knit in the rnd.
Knit in St st for 16" / 40.5 cm (or desired length).
Next row: K2tog across entire row. 22 (24, 26, 28, 30,
30, 34) sts remain.
Switch to smaller double pointed needles, knit in *k1,
p1* rib st for 2" / 5 cm. BO all sts.
Making Up
Weave in all ends.
