"Chrysanthemum" a magical name derived from the Greek
words of chrysos (gold) and anthemon (flower). The blossoms flower came in varieties of shapes and sizes and wide range of colours; from daisy-like, decorative, pompons or buttons. A warm infusion of chrysanthemum flowers may be helpful in relieving eyestrain, blurry vision and dry eyes and thus provide relaxation of mind, body and relief from insomnia. From a magical standpoint, these fall beauties are associated with the sun itself, and are thus often associated with fire. In some traditions, they’re a centrepiece for grave memorials.
