Group assignment of Emerging uses technology in Language Teaching and Learning

Answer :

1. The teacher will create a discussion forum such as a group on Facebook, then the teacher gives a
theme for students to write on the Facebook group page. Students are given the freedom to
write anything that fits the given theme. The teacher instructs the students that the discussion
starts at 7:00 pm. Students can give any comments such as refutation, good criticism, and
exchange of opinions. That way, students can enjoy learning anytime anywhere, even if not
face-to-face.
2. As teachers, we use technology to develop learning materials to make learning more interesting
and fun. Like discussing through social media facebook, instagram, twitter, etc. However,
teachers must pay attention to the language used when students use technology. Many
students use informal language (the language in which they write on their social media) when
contacting their teachers. This is because the use of slang or abbreviated language is interrupted
by students into formal writing. Therefore, teachers must provide good language learning and
really fit the structure and syntax.
