Classification of sentences .

1. Affirmative sentences:
 The cat is sleeping on the couch.
 They were playing hockey last month
 I was studying chemistry last week.
 It snows a lot in Russia.
 We offer prayers 5 times a day.
2. Imperative Sentence:
 Kindly accept my apology letter.
 Don’t forget to call me after reaching the
destination.
 Play this game with me.
 May you live long!
 Please close the door.
3. Exclamatory/Optative sentence:
 Many many happy returns of the day!
 I am extremely sorry for your loss
 Come on; let’s do it!
 Oh I was going to be there
 Wow! that’s amazing!

4. Interrogative sentences:
 Tell me what you’re doing today?
 Will you go abroad after finishing school?
 Whose is this red big notebook?
 Is your English getting better?
 The lyrics of this song is fascinating, isn’t it?

5. Negative sentences:
 It does not do to dwell dreams and forget to live.
 Alex won’t be coming to the movies. He is very busy.
 He didn’t get a passing grade because he didn’t work
hard.
 I’m sorry but this bag isn’t mine.
