Gender (rod) is one of the main noun categories in Croatian language. There are 3 genders: ženski
(feminine), muški (masculine) and neuter (srednji) rod.
There are different inflectional endings of the nouns according to their gender: feminine, masculine,
and neuter.
A majority of masculine nouns end in a consonant, feminine nouns end in a vowel a, while neuter
nouns end in a vowel o or e.
