SAFETY SHOE POLICY

Intent: -

The Supreme Industries Limited makes available a variety of personal protective equipment (PPE) to
protect its employees from industrial hazards. This policy outlines the general Company policies on PPE
and company provides the required PPE equipments and wears. The Supreme Industries Ltd has adopted
this policy to govern the company issued Safety shoes to be worn at any time inside the factory premises.
Due to the nature of our work, slips, trips and falls are a major concern and can cause severe injury. In
order to minimize the risk of an injury, we have developed this footwear policy for the benefit of our
employees.

Scope: - This policy applies to all The Supreme Industries Ltd employees need to wear the company issued
safety shoes mandatorily inside the factory premises.

Policy: -

 This policy has been established to minimize injury and promote a safe workplace. Your
participation is essential to the success of our safety program and is also a condition of
employment.
 The Supreme Industries Ltd strictly prohibits the entry of employees inside the factory premises,
without the safety shoes. This is the property of the company. The company reserves the right to
forfeit the cost of shoes if the employee leaves the organisation within 6 months of issuance.
 In – order to avoid any leg and toe injury, the supreme Industries Limited issues a pair of safety
shoes to its employees. The Company has identified the vendor and manufacturing company who
meets all the safety standards and company shall procure the same from them. Any other safety
shoes will not be allowed to wear and will attract a penalty.
 The safety shoes must be worn at any times inside the factory premises and if any employee is
found without the safety shoes will be penalised and the penalty charges are mentioned below.
This will be directly deducted from their salary.
 The Supervisor/Department HOD will be held responsible if the employees are without PPE inside
the premises.
 The Supreme Industries Limited will issue one pair of safety shoes free of cost every one year.
 The employees are required to manage the wear and tear and if there is damage in shoe, its’ the
employees’ sole responsibility and they have to bear the cost of replacement. The HR/ SAFETY team
will issue the new shoe and the cost of the shoe shall be deducted from the employees’ salary in
the consequent month.
