Renewable Energy from Solar and Sea Wave for Lighting Swim Boundaries
on Beaches
Global climate change - the growing concern over this threat has led to an increased
interest in the development and research of the renewable energy technologies. In our modern
world, it has proven that the earth’s climate has been changing from warm to cool for over a
million of years. Through such indications, the climate is growing warmer currently. Global
climate change has already had observable effects of our environment today due to greenhouse
Energy that comes from sources which are continually replenished on human time scales
such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves and geothermal heat are called renewable energy
sources. Interest in research and development of renewable energy technologies has increased
due to the growing concern over the threat of global climate change. As the renewable energy
technologies develop, an investment in ocean energy is likely to grow because it provides a vast
source of potential energy sources. The ocean environment must be protected while these
modern technologies are being developed because these renewable energy sources have the
potential to help alleviate the global climate change threat. If the projects are sited and scaled
appropriately and if environmental guidelines are followed, the renewable energy sources from
the ocean may be exploited safely and without harming the marine environment.
