Student Activity/Exercises

1. What did you understand of the word "character"? Explain in your own
words the advantage of having a good character.

Character is the hallmark of a person's moral or bearing, which makes up

a person's temperament. Having a hold of such so-called 'good character'
beholds self-mindfulness and sympathy vigor to others. It enables the person to
have a harmonious connection with one another. The possession of good
characters administers us to a better quality of life. It reinforces and builds our
confidence and goodwill towards life and humanity. It sees the positive side of
circumstances and turning them into one's development.

2. From the 23 blocks of building character, make a listing of those you already
practiced.

Blocks of Building Character I already practiced

1. Flexibility 9. Patience
2. Friendship 10. Obedience
3. Generosity 11. Perseverance
4. Humility 12. Prudence
5. Sincerity 13. Respect for others
6. Industriousness 14. Simplicity
7. Moderation 15. Understanding
8. Optimism 16. Responsibility

3. Make a list of the 23 blocks that are not familiar to you and consult the
dictionary about their meaning.
This list of 23 building blocks of character development is relatively not
foreign to me. I believed that these blocks are crucial to be discerned and have
as quality if you want to live a purpose-driven and a contented life. Thus, I
recognized these 23 building blocks of character since most of these blocks are a
custom of mine.

4. If you are a parent, what will you do on the 12 Easy Rules on having a
delinquent child? Will you follow it completely? Or you will do something in order
not to follow the rules?

Parents have such an integral part in the child's perception and beliefs in
life. The values and traits owned by their children are a reflection of their
approach to child upbringing. If I am a parent, I'm likely to raise my child as
someone who has a strong faith in God and principles in life. Hence, I will not
abide even a single thing on that rule if I want my child to grow up with a great
sense of moral values and ethical behaviors. I will raise my child as opposed to
these easy rules on having a delinquent child.
