Attività uno -An Introduction to Italian Foods.

Answer the following questions:
1. Why is food so important to Italians?
2. What is the sequence to their meal?
3. How is a complete Italian meal served?
4. When was coffee introduced into Italy?
5. Outline some difference between Italian coffee culture and the Australian coffee culture.

Attività due
Research the Coffee Culture in Italy.
Your aim is to explain to an Australian tourist the do’s and don’ts of coffee drinking in Italy.
1. What is a typical bar?
2. When do Italians drink coffee?
3. What type of coffee is ordered during the day? How is it served?
4. Research 3 regional coffee specialties. Provide recipes and examples.
5. What is served for the non-coffee drinker? Are there alternatives? Provide 5 examples.
6. What do Italians eat along side their coffee? Create a small bar menu. (dolci – desserts)

Create a poster explaining the different types of coffee you can order from an Italian bar. (a minimum of 8
different recipes required)
Drafts must be submitted PRIOR to final copy.

Attività tre
Select three of the dishes from Attività due and explain in detail the recipe and ingredients. In this section
use as many Italian words as possible.

Attività quattro
Create a script. The dialogue is between a waiter and a couple placing an order using your menu. They must
order three dishes and beverages.

A Bibliography must be included.

You may use the internet, however, remember all IMAGES need to be placed in your bibliography too.
NO PLAGIARISM ALLOWED. Automatic failure applies.

The assignment is to be presented in a display folder. Presentation is as important as the context.
