ENTRY/EXIT TICKET
Entry/ Exit -Are short prompts that can provide instructors with a quick student
diagnostic. Entry-exit tickets are tools that teachers use to get an understanding of the
student on a given topic.
Entry/exit tickets refer to a method of classroom instruction where instructors distribute an index
card with a prompt or discussion question on it for students to answer or reflect upon within a
given time frame.

Entry Ticket-Focus student attention on the day’s topic or ask students to recall
background knowledge relevant to the days lesson.
The entry ticket helps to get the attention of the student about the topic which the teachers will
teach today. The entry tickets are also used to recall the knowledge imparted earlier.
The question can be what have you learned or what do you understand about the topic taught
today.

Exit Ticket -It collects feedback on students understanding at the class and provide the
students with an opportunity to reflect on what they have learned.
They can be helpful in promoting students to begin to synthesize and integrate the information
gained during a class period.
The exit tickets are to collect feedback from the students. The students need to give feedback at
the end of the class. The exit tickets give an opportunity to think about the topic they have
learned.
The exit tickets help students to combine and analyze all the information given in the classroom.

Writing skills-Writing skills include all the knowledge and abilities related to expressing
ideas through the written word.

Writing skills are specifics abilities which help writers put their thoughts. Into words in a
meaningful form and to mentally interact with the message.
