1. Define and give four examples of a greenhouse gas. (5 points)


- Greenhouse gas is, any gas that has the property of absorbing infrared radiation emitted from
Earth's surface and reradiating it back to Earth's surface, thus contributing to the greenhouse
effect.

Examples:
- Overview.
- Carbon Dioxide.
- Methane.
- Nitrous Oxide.

2. What is the greenhouse effect and why is it important to the earth’s life and climate? (5 points)
- The greenhouse effect is a process that occurs when gases in Earth's atmosphere trap the Sun's
heat. 
- It is important because it keep our planet livable by holding onto some of Earth's heat energy so
that it doesn't all escape into space.
