Research Topic/Proposal: Super Sensitive Intruder Alarm

Problem:
 Security Problem

[1] According to the most recent burglary statistics, home burglary is a very prevalent crime
that occurs more frequently than many people believe. In other words, while the majority of
individuals take necessary measures to safeguard their homes, many underestimate their safety
requirements; it is critical to have a good awareness of how these accidents occur in your area
in order to keep yourself and your valuables safe. [2] According to statistics, around 2.5 million
burglaries occur each year, with house break-ins accounting for 66% of all burglaries. Only 12%
of house invasions are planned ahead of time. The average home invasion lasts 8 to 10
minutes, but some can happen in as little as 90 seconds. The majority of them take place at
night and when the owners of the residences are not there. Costly stuff such as jewelry, laptops,
mobile phones, and other valuable items have been stolen in certain unfortunate incidents.
Furthermore, some burglaries result in the death of family members. This type of crime causes
problems for many homeowners and must be addressed, for example, through preventive
measures taken by the house owners, neighborhood watch and heavy police patrol around
residence areas.

Specific Objectives:

 To design a circuit that alerts the user when an intruder enters into the home.
 To use electrical co.mponents which are easily found, market-available and/or
accessible in simulation tools
 To minimize the crime rate in the area.
 To improve home security in order to provide a safe and secure environment.
