In continuation please find herein enclosed a detailed BMRCL-Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) adhering to overall guidelines issued by MoUHA, Gol. It is requested that this may kindly be Published / Telecast / Aired in your Esteemed Media for the information of the Public at large for their information and Guidance for making it Safe to Travel on Metro. Yashavanth Chavan) Chief Public Relations Officer Encl: BMRCL SOP Pages — 1 to 8 12 4:31 03-09-2020 BMRCL SOP for Resumption of Revenue Train Operations as per the guidelines of MoHUA, Gol during Unloc Re-Commencement of Namma Metro operations: Operations of Namma metro, which was stopped w.e.f, 22" March 2020 shall re-commence w.ef. 7° September 2020 on the Purple Line and 9" September 2020 on the Green Line with split operating timings in graded manner as follows: Stage- Purple Line - 07-09-2020 to 10-09-2020 (4 days) Morning: The first train will depart from Baiyappanahalli and Mysuru Road stations at 8 am and the last train will depart from these stations at 11 am. Evening: The first train will depart from Baiyappanahalli and Mysuru Road stations at 4.30 pm and the last train will depart from these stations at 7.30 pm Stage-2 Green Line - 09-09-2020 and 10-09-2020 (2 days) Morning: The first train will depart from Nagasandra and Yellachenahali s last train will depart from these stations at 11 am. Evening: The first train will depart from Nagasandra and Yellachenahalli stations 4.30 pm and the last train will depart from these stations at 7.30 pm Stage-3 From 11-09-2020 onwards, trains will be operating on both the lines from 7 am to 9pm. The number of commuters allowed in each train is limited to 400 passengers to ensure social distancing norms. Time intervals between trains: > Morning Peak - 8 am to 11 am- 5 minutes > Evening Peak - 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm — 5 minutes > Off-peak hours: 10 minutes 14 16 2.2 23 2.4 25 26 27 3.2 33 Dwell time: Dwell time at each station will be of 60 secs so that passengers shall maintain social distancing while boarding and de-boarding. At interchange station Kempegowda, the dwell ime will be 75 secs Containment Zones: If any station falls under containment zone, then entry/exit gates at these stations will not be opened. BMRCL shall make announcement to this effect and passengers shall use the adjacent stations for boarding/de-boarding Ticketing: All passenger shall use smart card for journey as there will not be any token sale at stations Passengers shall enter the station with smart card having sufficient balance for travel. They may also purchase smart card by cashless transaction by making payment at PoS terminal provided at the station through UPI QR Code or by PAY TM To minimize the contact during the journey No Card recharge is done at stations. All passengers shall use online payments for top-up of cards through internet or mobile app. This mobile app will be available for downloading from 07.09.2020. Passengers shall recharge their Smart cards one hour prior to entry at the station either using Namma Metro mobile app or from BMRCL website and ensure that sufficient balance is available on the card for travel. At present passengers who are using online for top-up will have to present their cards at any of the metro station entry gates within a period of 60 days on initiation of recharge for completion of transaction. Consequent to introduction of mobile app, this is now revised to 7 days. ‘The smart cards shall not to be placed on card reader of entry / exit gates. Instead it will be flashed near the gate reader keeping a distance of about 3 cm from the gate reader. Note: Some of the commuters who had initiated recharge for card top-up from BMRCL Website/Internet have not been able to present their card for top-up within 60 days as metro services were closed from 22-03-2020. BMRCL. has transferred back all such amounts to the respective smart card holders. Therefore, such commuters may note and initiate fresh recharges for performing their journeys. Station Entry Rules: Not more than 60 passengers are permitted in all stations except terminal and interchange stations. Passenger shall co-operate with the security. Hand sanitizers will be provided at the entrance of stations and every passenger will be advised to sanitize his/her hands thoroughly. Arogya Setu: All passengers who are having smart phones are encouraged to use ‘Arogya Setu’ app and show green colour display on their mobile phones regarding their safety. 3.4 3.5 3.6 37 42 43 44 45 46 47 5A 5.2 5.3 Face Mask: No passenger without face mask shall be allowed inside the station. Passengers shall completely cover their nose and mouth with face mask throughout their travel in metro. Thermal Scanning of passengers: Passengers shall show their hand against a thermal scanner or get themselves thermally scanned manually at entrance of metro stations. Those who pass the thermal scanning and whose temperature is less than 37° C only are permitted to enter the station. Passengers who show other symptoms of sneezing, cough, breathlessness shall not be permitted to travel. He/she shall be taken aside by the security staff to record the passenger's details like name, phone no. and address. Such passengers shall be advised for medical checkup. Entry by smart cards: Since tokens are not sold, passengers shall be allowed inside the station only if they carry metro smart card. If any person not having a smart card wants to travel, he shall enter the station and purchase one at the ticket counter by cashless modes. Baggage limitation: Only one piece of baggage is permitted per passenger. Passengers are advised to avoid carrying metallic object as far as possible to minimize {risking Social distancing: The queue strips marked with "YELLOW" retro reflective tapes are provisioned in front of Ticketing counter, escalators/Lifts, on Platform in front of each door of every coach, to guide and help passengers to maintain social distancing. Social distance of 2m must be maintained by all commuters. It is to be ensured that, the boarding passengers shall not obstruct the de-boarding passengers; they shall stand clear of the doorways. Alternate seats in the trains having ® markings have to be kept vacant and standing is allowed only at the ‘YELLOW STRIP" marked location Passengers shall stand on alternate steps of escalators at stations while moving from platform to concourse and concourse to road level. Ata time, 4/6 passengers only shall travel in lifts which are having capacity of 6/12 persons. Passenger are to stand on the foot marks stickers in lifts. Passengers shall abide by the repeated announcements made on PA systems, both in the stations and trains, about maintaining social distancing including usage of lift and escalators. Overcrowded train: Maximum 400 passengers are permitted to travel ina train. If the crowd is unmanageable, the stoppage at next crowded station shall be skipped duly making necessary announcements. Ifa train is overcrowded and passengers are not able to board the train, fresh entry of passengers into the station shall be stopped until the crowd is cleared from the platform. Number of entries and exits in a station: Limited number of entry/exits gates are opened in a station depending on the anticipated footfall at a station, 9.2 9.3 10 Air-conditioning at Stations and trains: The temperature in trains and underground stations are kept in the range 24-28 degrees. Celsius depending on the climatic conditions and areas are well ventilated with intake of maximum fresh air. Parking and opening of other services like food, stores etc at Stations: Parking at stations shall be permitted subject to following directions from the State Government. Advisory: ‘The general public are advised that metro railway administration have taken measures to ensure safety of metro travel by frequent disinfection of trains and stations. Passengers are also encouraged to carry their own pocket sanitizer.
