Since 1969, the mission of Bakersfield Music Theatre has

been to produce quality musical theatre primarily with local

NAMING talent. BMT's current home, Stars Theatre Restaurant, is an

iconic fixture in downtown Bakersfield's Art District. BMT
also prides itself in providing Kern County's finest theatre
enrichment programs for children at The Stars School of

RIGHTS Performing Arts and BMT Summer Workshop. Bakersfield

Music Theatre, also known in the community as Stars, is
proud to serve the Kern County Community.

the increasing costs of producing BMT/Stars productions. As
a non-profit organization, BMT/Stars relies on the tax-
deductible donations of thousands of individuals each year to
continue to bring quality community theatre to Bakersfield, as
