At 1:40 a.m. on March 22 a fire raged through a home at the corner of Briarwood Road
and Briarwood Crescent in Strathmore. Four neighbouring homes were evacuated
for the safety of the occupants due to the severity of the fire and wind direction. The
occupants of the residence where the fire started were not home at the time. A second
residence next to the first, was damaged by the fire.
