Quilotoa Volcano and Lagoon

Spectacular natural
amphitheater located in
the crater of the
Quilotoa volcano, in
whose center of 3
kilometers in diameter a
lagoon of bluish green
tones has formed.

The show from above, is an


impressive natural viewpoint
that allows you to appreciate
the majesty of the landscape,
while from below, descending
280 meters, it is possible to see
the irregular bubbles that
emerge from the fumaroles of
the volcano.

For its ascent, you must reach the town of


Zumbahua, from where you can access the
community of Quilotoa by bus, along the
winding roads of the Andes Mountains,
through the route known as the "Summit".
