INNOVATION IN LEARNING STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS

Taught with the same pedagogical techniques for the past ten years, focusing
on improving student's abilities to think critically and apply their knowledge of
fundamental engineering principles to solve Indeterminate structures such as
continuous beams, portal frames and trusses using any of the structural
analysis methods, students are required to develop sets of team- based
spread sheet programming assignments for any one portal frames or trusses
using any of the methods taught in the class.
