Title: Mental Disorder

Group: 4 (FOUR)

What is mental disorder?

Mental disorder is a condition where a person experiences a disturbance in mind,

behavior, and feelings that are manifested in the form of a set of symptoms or
changes in meaningful behavior, and can cause suffering and obstacles in carrying
out the function of people as humans.

How many types of mental disorder?

Of course there are many types. But we will not discuss all of that, we will only
discuss the mental type of mental disorder that we are heard, namely:

1.) Anxiety disorder is a condition where sufferers suffered a panic attack

suddenly when he was in a crowded place, or a place that made the sufferer feel
uncomfortable.

2.) Panic Attack is a condition where sufferers feel anxious, less comfortable, feel
vigilant, and sweat cold. Panic Attack is similar to Anxiety Disorder, only anxiety
disorder is a more severe version of Panic Attack.

3.) Bipolar Disorder is a patient underwent an extreme mood change from the
phase mania (happy) into the depression phase (sad), these two phases usually
appear episodically.

4.) Depression is a condition where sufferers feel sad, angry, worthless, and
inferiority. A person can be said to be depressed if these symptoms take place
continuously or are prolonged.

5.) Psychopaths literally means mental illness. The difference is a fully conscious
psychopath of his actions. Symptoms such as manipulative, do not feel guilty, do
not have empathy, and have no long-term relationships with others.
6.) PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) is anxiety syndrome, autonomic labor,
and flashback of a very painful experience after physical and emotional stress that
exceeds the resilience of ordinary people.

What are the causes of the emergence of mental disorder?

Actually there are many causes of emergence of mental disorder, such as stress,
trauma, genetics, sexual violence, and others. But causes that often cause mental
disorder are trauma, stress and genetics.

After knowing what it is mental disorder,

then the next question is what community response to people with mental
disorder?

Community responses of course diverse, there are pros and cons. The pros will
definitely help or at least, do not judge people who have mental disorder. They
must empathize people with mental disorder, or even help whether entertaining,
or provide support.

But there are also people who feel that people who have mental disorder are a
liar. They feel that mental disorder is not real. They assume that mental disorder
is not a disease but a way to get attention. For people who are counter, the
person who has mental disorder is "crazy". There are even from those who openly
cursed and even hit a person who suffered from mental disorder.

Especially in the regional or remote community, there are still many people who
do not know what mental disorder is. If they see people with strange behavior,
then they will immediately bring them with the word "crazy", even though the
government has set a call for people who have mental disorder by "ODGJ (people
with mental disorders)".

There are so many percentages of our group about mental disorder.
