●Metalloids
The metalloids; boron (B), silicon (Si), germanium (Ge), arsenic (As), antimony (Sb),
tellurium (Te), polonium (Po) and astatine (At) are the elements found along the step
like line between metals and non-metals of the periodic table. Metalloids have
properties of both metals and non-metals.

●Non-metals
In the chemical world, these “spare parts” would be considered non-metals, loosely
defined as not having the properties of metals. A nonmetal is an element that is
generally a poor conductor of heat and electricity. Most properties of nonmetals are
the opposite of metals.
