Chronicle Chespirito
He was born in Mexico City, on February 21, 1929; died in Cancun, Quintana Roo, on November
28, 2014. He began his career as an advertising creative, which connected him to radio and
television, in which he was, during the 1950s, a very active screenwriter. He also made several film
scripts for the Viruta and Capulin duo and briefly began as an actor with them in Dos servants
spoiled, in 1960. In 1968, Mexico's Channel 8 began broadcasting and Chespirito was called as a
writer with the offer to use a half-hour a week at his whim. Thus, The Super Geniuses of the
Square Table and his acting career were born. In 1972, El Chavo appeared. Both characters worked
so well that the show was divided into two, dedicating half an hour to each.
Despite being well known for his roles as Chavo and Chapulín Colorado, he was also the creator of
several other characters, such as Chómpiras, Doctor Chapatín, Vicente Chambón and Chaparrón
Bonaparte. He also starred in Mexican films, written and acted by himself, such as El Chanfle and El
Chanfle 2, Don Ratón and don Ratero, Charrito and Música de viento.
Outside of his usual television characters, starting in 1992, he performed the play Once y twelve in
the theater for several years, with which he achieved more than 28,000 performances. He also
ventured into the telenovela genre in 1991 directing and producing Milagro and magic in
conjunction with Florinda Meza and provided the lyrics for the musical themes of La dueña in 1995
and Siempre tener alas in 1997 and directs the musicalization for Milagro and magic in 1991.
Gómez Bolaños had two relationships. In the first instance, he married Graciela Fernández, with
whom he had six children. Later, the relationship he had with one of the co-stars of his program,
Florinda Meza, who played Doña Florinda in El Chavo del 8, was made public. On November 12,
2009, Chespirito was admitted to the emergency room at a hospital in Mexico City. According to

In 2000, Televisa gave him a tribute entitled "They didn't count on my cunning", commemorating
