1. What sport do you follow in Colombia and why?

(If you don’t follow sports here, or at all,

explain why not.)

I do not practice any sports, because unfortunately I am on crutches, since I had a rather serious
accident, and soon I need a hip transplant and a femur prosthesis, but I like to watch the Olympic
games and the swimming sport.

2. What do you think about the popularity of football and the fact that it receives more attention
from the government than other sports? Is it fair?

Although I do not dislike the attention that football has in Colombia, I find it unfair with other
sports. The government should sponsor all sports equally because everyone deserves it; as is the
case with cycling, skating, athletics, weightlifting and many more.

3. What can we do in order to help athletes in other disciplines to have better conditions and
support?

That there are more institutions that provide support as uniforms for the teams. That in the
poorer rural areas, they motivate young people in all the sports that exist, there is already very
little that children know about sports. And finally, that they support those who want to be a
professional in the sport that the young person likes, and give them the same support that is given
to even a professional athlete.

4. How can we motivate national channels to broadcast a wider type of sport programs and not
just football?

An option would be to exchange some entertainment programs such as comedy or reality shows
for sports programs. But also with the financial support of the government could create a new TV
channel to show and promote national and international sports.
