Inquiry Reflection IR3

2A. Organizes, allocates and manages time the resources of time, space, and attention.

I managed my space by having all my students gather on the carpet and sit in their alphabetical order
spots on the carpet, this helped us more feel like a closer community for our morning meeting. I
managed my voice by using a loud and clear tone the emotions entertained and involved throughout the
lesson. I first asked the students to have an introduction by greeting each other in different languages I
provided some examples to use. During my share portion of the activity, I had the students think about
assumptions that have been made familiar with and they will tell me if they think it is true or false.

2B. Manages individual and class behaviors through a well-planned management system.

Throughout my morning meeting I used the school’s attention getter called “Rowlie” where you hold
two fingers up and say Rowlie to get the students attention, this attention getter is also used by my CT. I
use this whenever the talking got out of hand or too loud which is we're getting distracted by side
conversations. One student was rolling around and distracting the other students, so I asked him to
please sit up and join us in our conversation, I regained his attention by asking him one of the
assumptions.

2C. Conveys high expectations to all students.

I conveyed high expectations to all of my students by modeling and exampling the expected behaviors
that should be displayed on the carpet and while in a classroom discussion. I engaged each of my
students by having participated about running and the share Porsche I'm meeting where the students
were to top out and in a classroom discussion. I expect the students to participate in the freedom yeah
there in a different language that I provided different examples of ways to greet a partner. Then I asked
the students to participate in a sharing exercise, students were asked to see if familiar assumptions were
true or false.

2E. Models Clear, acceptable oral and written communication skills.

I used each part of the morning meeting and throughout my lesson I made sure to project my voice in a
loud and clear tone especially when I was explaining how to complete a task or what the expectations
were for the task. I explained what we would be doing throughout the lesson and by providing examples
to help students understand what was expected of them. I also modeled and displayed how I would like
my students to behaving using our classrooms agreements and expectations.

2F. Maintains a climate of openness, inquiry, fairness, and support.

I maintained a climate of openness an inquiry by being open minded throughout my lesson and allowing
my students to say if they were struggling or any questions they needed to be answered throughout My
Morning Meeting activity, and was very open to suggestions, comments and critiques. I also supported
my students by using examples throughout the meeting to help students know what was expected of
them. I also provided support throughout by helping my students work through and devlop their
answers.
