Passive cooling through

Façade Design is one of
the simple yet eco-
friendly designs for
passive cooling. It is a
passive cooling
technique that usually
use both natural
ventilations and built
orientation.

Examples:
1. Double Skin Façade
The double-skin façade, or DSF, is an envelope construction
composed of two transparent ''skins'' that are separated by an air corridor.
The DSF is a form of active façade, because it employs equipment, like fans
or solar/thermal sensors. It also integrates passive design strategies, such
as natural ventilation, daylighting, and solar energy

2. Four types of double skin Façade:

3. Solar Façade
A solar facade system converts sun rays into energy and most facades
can be used for solar cladding. Renewable energy systems can be installed
against the facade and integrated into the facade.
