A design approach for process-based
knowledge management systems

Abstract,
Purpose — This paper presents design approach for process-based knowledge management (PKI)
systems that can support knowiedge-intensve processes where effective task execution 1s hiahly
reliant on the knowiedge and expertise of participants executing the tasks. The proposed design
approach includes design methods and kere! theories governing the design of PRM systems and can
alco bo easily inagrated with ensting systems analysis and design techniques.
