On Christmas day my parents don’t want me to open my

presents before they get up. The problem is that I always

wake up very early on that day but my parents usually wake up
around 10. On Christmas Eve, I told my friend Tim Morgan 22

about this. He thought for a minute and asked me “Would you
like to get your presents at7.30 this year?” “Yes, please” I
answered. So, on Christmas Day, he rang my parents up at 7.
He told them he was a policeman and he wanted to come and
talk to them at 7.15. Of course they got up immediately. So, I
got my presents at 7.30.

Anyway, I knew what the present from my parents was
before I opened it. Every year Mum asks my sister “ What
would Albert have for Christmas?” So, this year, I said to my
sister “ Tell Mum I want a bike or a walkman if she thinks a
bike is too expensive.” There was no bike under the tree and I
must say I was a bit disappointed.
I was very busy on Christmas Day. We all went to my 77

uncle Roger’s house for lunch. We took food with us. I helped
with the washing up. Then in the evening, I went and worked
