COVID-19 case in PH reaches almost half a million infections

infections with a total of 1,968 new cases.

According to the Department of Health (DOH), it is the thirteenth-day


record of the country to have no less than 2,000 new cases a day.

Cavite City ranked first in the new tally of cases with 107 followed by
Quezon City with 97, Davao City with 86, Laguna Province with 84, and
Quezon Province with 77.

Patients that are asymptomatic or have mild conditions who finished


the 14-day quarantine protocol were re-tagged as recovered bringing the
total number of recoveries to 386,486 after 10,957 patients recovered.

Based on the new Oplan Recovery action of DOH to report time-based


updates every Sunday, there are a total of 8,123 cases with 43 new fatalities
and 24,209 active cases undergoing treatment or quarantine.

Among the active cases, 82.5 percent are mild, 8.2 percent are
asymptomatic, 5.8 percent are critical, and 3.2 percent are severe.

Globally, the total tally of cases reached 57.8 million with 1.3 million
fatalities.
