Movie : OUTSOURCED

Why is business outsourced?

-The film Outsourced discusses the passionate subject of U.S. companies who
outsourced jobs to India with humor because it shows the misunderstandings and
passions that can arise when cultures clash. So the business was outsourced because,
the main character saw a good opportunity in India and when he took that opportunity
to outsource work to India to train his replacement. Also, the business is outsourced
because the Indian company takes the service from the US company. Plus, after heading
to India, Mr. Hamilton did that to improve the company’s focus. Free up internal
resources for new purposes. Increase efficiency for some operational tasks so as not to
waste time that is still needed in other company tasks. Thus, the business is outsourced
because one company outsourced some services or maybe goods sometimes from
another company of other countries.

The issue of cultural diversity or differences.

-Primarily, this cultural difference affects not only the company but also its people who
are key personnel in a company. As many know, western culture is quite far from their
culture in India. However, this is resolved in the film by interacting and adapting to the
differences specific aspects of business in India so that in that way the business will run
smoothly and everyone will get along in the business, especially if it is more
-international, it is important to adapt to the culture of the particular country and the
people who occupy it.

How western culture different from Indian culture (based from the movie).

-The differences of western culture with Indian culture in the film are really visible.
According to the film, when Todd went to India, he experienced culture shock due to
the cultural differences of the two countries, the first time he came in contact with the
culture of India, he experienced difficulties in language, transportation, food, lifestyle,
attitude and so on. He was confused by everything from riding the train to hiring a taxi.
He felt shock, confusion and confusion. All these differences and difficulties make him
miserable. Because of his pick-up driver’s mispronunciation, he was missed and he had
to take a taxi to get to the station. So, in conclusion as in reality, the film shows how the

difference of Indian culture and Western culture is far away in terms of religion, food,
language and many more.

Overall impression of the film in connection to the subject matter.

On our topic International trade and businesses, this film will help us understand that
in doing a business specifically when dealing with international businesses, we should
not only think of one aspect which is to earn. But also think deeply that doing a
business is not as easy as the average person thinks. We should consider following the
law in that particular area and especially to adapt to the differences of our culture with
others. When doing a business, we must study the geographical and demographic
aspects of our market and must know how to deal with them. In conclusion, this film
thought that we would outsource different opportunities from other markets and adapt
from the differences not only of the people but especially the culture of the out target
market in order to survive and we can grow the business. In that specific country.
