The document provides instructions for performing the supplication prayer of al-Istikhārah. It states that the Prophet Muhammad instructed that if a person is concerned about a decision they must make, they should pray two non-obligatory raka'ah prayers and then supplicate to God. The supplication asks God, who has knowledge and power, to make the decision that is best for the person's religion, livelihood, and affairs in this life and the next. It asks God to facilitate the good decision and bless the person in it. If the decision is bad, it asks God to divert the person from it and facilitate what is good for them wherever it may be.
