Hello, this is teacher Tessa speaking! Thank you for taking my class today! Today we continued with grade 4
writing.

Parts of a Paragraph

- a paragraph is a group of sentences that tells about one main idea. The topic sentence tells the main idea and is
usually the frist sentence. Supporting sentences tell more about the main idea. The closing sentence of a paragraph
often retells the main idea in a different way.

Here are the parts of the paragraph:

1- paragraph tittle

2- topic sentence

3- supporting sentences

4- closing sentence.

Always remember while writing:

Indent the first line at the beginning of your paragraph, capitalize correctly, and punctuate correctly.
I have noticed that sometimes you need additional time to think about the questions before
you answer, which i think is a good tactic of resolving problems, but sometimes you just stall
because you dont understand what is asked from you.It would be good that you always tell
me when this happens. The material is very complicated and getting too hard for you, so
you lose focus and it is very slow to move forward and very little or no progress has been
made.

That is also the reason why we didnt finish all the pages planned for today.
I Suggest the material changes to something more appropriate to your skillset and age.

Sometimes you make minor grammar mistakes:


construction 'I play WITH_____' (with is often missing) is something we should pay attention
more.
*the classroom was unstable, so it did make the flow a little slower than usual, and I had
some trouble hearing you when you spoke so I repeated the questions a few times.

* please try to wear earphones next time , so we can make sure we hear each other
clearly.

I would highly reccomend that the lesson pacing gets adjusted to 3 classes per class. This
will allow us to exepand the topics more, also make sure that You understood the material
completely and practice grammar more in dept.
This would definetely boost your skills faster!

You were very shy at the start, but slowly we worked on the lesson together and the class went on
nicely!

You show very little or no interest in the topics we are working on.
You seem tired and sleepy, playing games and not listening to questions and never take the
initiative in any conversations.
You never answer in full sentences,not even after many repetitions.

Today we started a new unit, and the main topic was how we can grow and change over timeIn the
warm-up part, I asked you a lot of different questions and you gave me some great answers to most of
them! That is great! What would be even better, if you try to speak up in longer sentences, I know you
can do it! This is how we can learn more and speak more, so you will soon feel confident and finish all
the tasks without the help of the teacher or your mom. I think you understood everything we needed to
learn today and you only felt a little insecure expressing yourself.Thank you for your efforts! Nicely done!

Thanks a lot! You are very young but I can see that you are already familiar with a lot of words
and you can form some simple sentences on your own, which is great! Amazing work for your
age, however, we need some time for you to adjust to classes and the learning process. Since
you are only 3 it is expected that you lose focus at times and feel a little shy. As we get to know
each other we can make our lessons more relaxed and fun! In future lessons, we will work on
building even better vocabulary, so that you can express yourself even better!

Today we had a fresh start working on a new lesson. The main topic of this unit is about the sky, solar
system and astronomy, which i really like to talk about and it is fun to teach. You told me that you do not
talk a lot aobut it during your science classes, so i took the advantage of our time together and inserted
some basic information that we both can discuss. We focused on the order of the planets, some
celestial, bodies, and talked about keywords and connecting them with thosee added diagrams, and i
also tried to
We also got some time to mention body and face parts: nose, foregead, eyebrows, ears, lips, mouth,
chin, cheek, tongue, teeth, etc.

I am very happy that i can say i have notice a big improvement in free talk, his conversational skills are
improving, now he has a lot more confidence, and uses full sentences on his own, he is getting better at
describing pictures and retelling the events or his daily activities. Amazing progress! In the warm up part
of todays lesson, he knew answers to many of my questions and he could ehepand for each step of the
material, wich he could not do before! He does not make big mistakes, just some grammar issues wich
are common and we correct it immediately so it does not turn into a habbit. This class was very nice
To review the main idea of the lesson and to reflect on our previous class we disscused monts of the
year, and seasons in conbination with corresponding holidays and festivals that are known around the
world. Eva was a lot better than last time doing this exercise.

pleasure to meet a new student, and i am especially looking forward to working when I get such a
talented and clever young child like yourself!Today we started our work on the lesson colors/yellow .

I would like to see you more independent. Think about your answers and try to use the words we have
already learned. I do not like that you just repeat what is already said. Pleasy try it first and if you
cannot do it every time i will help you gladly.
It is great that you have a lot of help at home since it is important to work between classes, but the
best results are made when you come up with your own answers. This is important so gain more
confidence.

She was very nervious since i am new to her, and I believe she does a lot better when she is relaxed. I
noticed that she was prepared for class in advance, and learned all the words, but I wanted for our
introduction to have been more casual and a little better than it was.

Her pronunciation is good, and her reading skills are good according to the material.

She was shy at the start but that is completely normal since we just met for our first class. When she felt
relaxed she performed better! She remembered everything that was important to know abot this unit!

I really like to work on this lesson and it gives an ample opportunity to talk about many different
features and expand, and also review the vocabulary for food and groceries. For this we had an
additional worksheet, and the student perforemed nicely! And we repeat it a few times to make he
remembers it, and also it was a good activity to warm up for the rest of the unit.

When it comes to our conversation, you still struggle to use full sentences, and some Wh questions
just eskape you (where, who, why, when, what, how). I can see she is a bright young student and he
just needs to slowly form a habit of having classes and slowly we will increase his focus. Todays lesson
was not dificult but the topic was not so interesting for him. It is important so next time we will
continue with some games.
He lacks the basic understanding of WHAT, WHERE, WHO, WHEN, HOW, WHY, CAN; DO; which is
essential to overcome this problem. To conclude, the content today was too demanding for his current
abilities.
I am satisfied with the progresion and the pace we have so far, since the material is a litlle harder than
before, yoyo ajusted exellently.we also did a fast review and and it could have been better , her free talk
is not as good, but she knows all the important details, so slowly we will work on her fluency. I am very
glad that she has a rich vocabulary, but she rarely uses full sentences to describe , so another thing we
will focus in the future. Her grammar is good but simple, so soon we can work on more complex tenses
when we geed someextra time at the end of the class.

The review from the beginning of the lesson that we did after the introduction was good, he
performed nicely and remmber the key details. of this story without any help from the book or
refreshing. This is amazing.

At this stage, when we are working on levels Intermediate3, the topics will get more complicated and the
grammar wich is more complex will follow. I hope that Eva can keep up with it, her biggest struggle so far
was lack of words and dificulties while exepresing her own ideas.
In the warmup part we elaborated a lot about festivals and tradition and we worked hard on exepandig
her fluency. We did not cover all the pages planned, but that is okay. I think Eva needs more help and
time at the start so she can understand the entire concept of the lesson.

Student participates well in all classroom activities and seems to enjoy learning English. What I always
try to encourage is being independent in speaking instead of relying on the help of mom or the teacher,
and also to focus more on using full sentences. Most of the time the answers are correct which is great,
so we have room to emphasize sentence construction. This is a problem since she uses basic grammar
and the level is more demanding.
SHe is a very nice and sociable student. I would like her to try to answer questions using newly learned
words more often during the lesson, this way we put them to use rigth away.
We added homework: months of the year and festiwal matching.

When the class started you were very sad and quickly started to cry, I think it is just because
you were sleepy and it was getting late.I believe you have a lot of nice qualities, and I am happy
to have such a sweet little girl as my student.
I was looking forward to this class with you, and I hope I didn't disappoint you. I am sorry we
didn't finish everything planned for today, but that is fine, we covered most of the words, you

You are an intelligent and skillful boy, however, your learning attitude requires reconsideration. We don't
have too much time in class, and since you are starting to learn the language, a much better discipline in
class is necessary so that we can make sure that you go through everything correctly. I can see that you
go through materials quickly, this has possibly affected memorizing certain vocabulary. I have prepared
very efficient speaking exercises, however, you weren't willing to give it a try. Please, in future classes,
listen to the teacher, follow the teacher's instructions, repeat when asked. You are not doing a good job
if you learn everything by heart and compete in class. We should try to put those words to use, Thank
