The Palace of Versailles is an important historical site in France. It’s about

about three million visitors every year. It’s famous, because it’s beautiful, and
because it’s a symbol of the old royal family of France.
There are some very famous rooms in the palace. One of them is the Hall of
Mirrors. The Hall of Mirrors is 73 metres long, 10.5 metres wide and 12.3

curtains. On the other side of the room there are 357 mirrors. There are many
beautiful pictures on the walls and ceiling, too.
The gardens at the palace are amazing. There are 200,000 trees in the gardens
