ANGELES, PGM Grand Master Grand Secretary EDICT NO. 338 INSTITUTIONALIZING THE OFFICES OF GRAND SCRIBE AND GRAND CYBER WARDEN WHEREAS, the necessity of communicating with and engaging all stakeholders within and external to this Grand Jurisdiction has made it imperative to appoint suitable Brethren to address these requirements. WHEREAS, the Cable Tow through the years, as staffed by committed Brethren, has capably served as the official organ of this Grand Jurisdiction, and needs to be sustainably provided for. WHEREAS, emerging advances in information technology have made it feasible for this Grand Lodge to leverage such in enhancing its capabilities and efforts to engage with all stakeholders within and external to this Grand Jurisdiction. NOW THEREFORE I, AGAPITO S. SUAN JR., Grand Master of Masons of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons in the Philippines, by virtue of the powers in me vested by the Constitution, do hereby promulgate and decree, as follows: Sec. 1. Institutionalizing the Office of Grand Scribe and Grand Cyber Warden - Part I, Article XXX of the Constitution in the Masonic Law Book is hereby amended to read as follows: ARTICLE XXX GRAND HERALDS Section 1 Grand Scribe It shall be the duty of the Grand Scribe: a. To edit and supervise the timely publication of the Cable Tow as the official organ of this Grand Jurisdiction; Charity & Humility: Foundations of a True Macon,2| Page Edict No. 338 - MW Suan b. To recommend to the Grand Master the appointment of such Brethren as may be necessary to ensure the sustainable operation of the Cable Tow as a going concern; and c. To edit and ensure the timely publication of such other issuances as the Grand Master may instruct. Section 2 Grand Cyber Warden It shall be the duty of the Grand Cyber Warden: a. To edit and manage the operations of the official Internet Portal & Website of the Grand Lodge; b. To edit and manage the operations of all official social media channels of the Grand Lodge; c. To recommend to the Grand Master the appointment of such Brethren as may be necessary to ensure the sustainable operation of all cyber operations of the Grand Lodge, including the official Internet Portal & Website as well as all official social media channels, as a going concern; and d. To supervise the enforcement of all information technology standards and policies of the Grand Lodge, including all measures to ensure the security and privacy of all cyber operations of the Grand Lodge. Section 3 Grand Organist It shall be the duty of the Grand Organist to preside at the organ at the opening and the closing of the Grand Lodge, and to conduct its, music upon all occasions of ceremony, when required. Sec.2. Masonic Titles of New Grand Heralds - As Grand Line officers and like the Grand Organist, the Grand Scribe and Grand Cyber Warden shall be addressed as Very Worshipful and shall be entitled to the post-nominal letters *PGSc”, in the case of the Grand Scribe, and “PGCW’, in the case of the Grand Cyber Warden, after their respective terms of service. Sec.3. Recognition of All Previous Editors-in-Chief of the Cable Tow - To recognize their service to the Craft, all Brethren who have previously served as Editor-in-Chief of the Cable Tow as officially appointed to such office shall be deemed as Past Grand Scribes of this Masonic Jurisdiction, and shall be entitled to the post-nominal letters “PGSc’. Sec.4. Transitory Provisions - The provisions of Edict No. 335 and all other edicts and regulations not consistent with this Edict are hereby deemed amended accordingly. In particular, the Grand Scribe shall simultaneously hold the appointment of Editor-in-Chief of the Cable Tow and the Grand Cyber3| Page Edict No. 338 - MW Suan Warden shall chair the GLP-ICT Committee created as a standing committee of the Grand Lodge pursuant to Edict No. 335. ‘This Edict shall take effect immediately upon posting in the official Grand Lodge Website or by official c-mail transmission to lodges, and shall be read in open lodge at the stated meeting next following its receipt and that action thereon recorded in the Minutes of the meeting of the Lodge.
