“Persuasive Blog Post”

Introduction

Explanation: For my child and family advocacy class, I wrote a blog post to bring awareness to

a growing issue. I had to use persuasion and research to back up my stance. I chose to write

about the scary facts behind social media usage using statistics, personal experiences, and quotes.

Standard: Through this artifact, I was able to demonstrate my disposition for advocacy. As a

professional, I understand the importance of being an advocate for the things I know will

strengthen children and families. Writing this persuasive piece gave me time to reflect on how I

feel about social media and how it is effecting the children and families of today.
