CROATIA

Croatia is a country located in south central Europe and Mediterranean region. It is located on the
Adriatic coast. Its capital is Zagreb, located in the north.

The entire Adriatic coast has a wonderful Mediterranean climate. Spring and autumn are mild, but
winter is cold and snowy in central and northern regions.

In Croatia, there are 1,246 islands. The largest ones are Krk and Cres. Korčula is the most populated
island. The highest point is Dinara, at 1,830m.

CITIES

Zagreb is the capital and largest city in Croatia.


Dubrovnik is a historic city and UNESCO World Heritage site.
Split is an ancient port city with Roman ruins, such as Diocletian's palace.
Pula is the biggest town in Istria with one of the best conserved Roman amphitheatre, called Arena.
Rijeka is Croatia's main and largest port.
Zadar is a city in Dalmatia with rich history.

SAILING IN CROATIA

Sailing is a good way to visit the islands and small archipelagos. Many charters are situated in Split or the
surrounding area. Many Croatian companies offer both - bareboat and crewed charters.

Booking of a charter vessel is basically done in two parts. Fifty percent of the charter price is paid right
away, after which the booking is confirmed. The other fifty percent of the charter fee is usually paid four
weeks before the charter date.

When you arrive to marina where your boat is situated, you should do the check in (usually on
Saturday). After that you are set for a sailing vacation.

Croatia offers amazing weather conditions and incredible scenery for different activities such as water
sports, mountain and rock activities, biking and so on.

Beaches in Croatia are numerous and everyone can find the ideal place for spending holidays in Croatia.
