Derfyan

 4th  “Armoured  Chefs”

“Second  servings!  Trooper  must  I  remind  you  that  we  are  short  on  supplies
and  can  not  waste  what  little  we  have  on  furthering  rations  beyond
reasonable  levels.  Of  course  should  a  donation  be  made  I  suppose  it  could  be
arranged.”
–Bacco  of  the  Derfyan  4th  Armoured  Chefs
Derfyan  is  a  fortress  world  locked  in  a  seemingly  eternal  war  against  vile
ork  forces.  On  the  world  many  hardened  troops  see  the  light  of  day  and
many  of  these  are  abhumans.
This  is  the  case  with  the  ratlings  of  the  Derfyan  4th  Armoured  Chefs,  a
regiment  issued  with  field  production  and  distribution  of  food.  This
uncommon  tactic  has  been  most  welcome  on  the  worlds  they  fight  on  and
their  Squigsoup  is  particularly  appreciated  though  it  would  be  expected
that  its  popularity  would  diminish  if  the  chefs  actually  told  the  troopers
what  was  in  it.
Derfyan  4th  Armoured  Chefs  tend  to  leave  the  worlds  where  they  “fight”
with  more  wealth,  better  equipment  and  often  more  troops  then  when  they
landed.

Derfyan  Squigsoup  Canned  Rations

The  Derfyan  Squigsoup  while  considered  “borderline  heretical”  is  one  of  the  main
foods  of  the  world  (and  the  national  course  of  Fortress  “Flame  of  Vigilance”).
They  are  produced  and  distributed  in  cans  as  rations.  While  this  increases  the
weight  of  the  rations  by  a  lot  the  better  taste  is  often  considered  worth  it.
Canned  Rations:  One  weeks  supply  weighs  1kg
Tasty  Treat:  Tests  to  acquire  these  rations  at  good  or  best  craftsmanship
gain  a  +20  bonus  to  the  test.
