Most of the people have difficulties when talking to other people with different language.

We understand what they are saying. According to our participants has experienced
Intercultural Communication, they have difficulties with understanding what the other people are
saying and it is because there is a language barrier. We can say that English is the universal
language, but still there are other people have difficulties trying to understand the language. Our
participants also said that they have learned something from that experience. Some learned the
different culture they have, the language they speak. They adapted the behavior and
environment in other countries. Adapting to a new environment and behavior takes time and
effort, some took months to adapt to their culture. Three (3) people of we interviewed studied in
other countries with the thought of obtaining better education attainment and better
opportunities for work. When it comes to decision making, it depends on the person if they
based their decision with their culture or not. There has been miscommunication at their first
intercultural communication, having a miscommunication is difficult to avoid specially if it’s the
first time that you have intercultural communication. There is a language barrier between you
and the person you are talking to. Having intercultural communication would benefit the society,
having to adapt to other culture and learning their language, it could give the diversity of society.
Practicing other culture would make it easier to understand them and to adapt them. Even while
practicing other culture, they still practice their own culture. Having intercultural communication
makes people more open to other culture. They slowly understand what their culture means and
how important it is.
