Huawei is a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT)
infrastructure and smart devices. Their target audience are young people, people that is
knowledgeable about advanced technology and people pursuing young fashionable
lifestyles. Their product are cellphones, smartwatch, and laptops. Their products are
more on advanced technologies, for people that pursue young fashionable lifestyles. I
think the direct message is about connections, wireless connection to other technology,
connection to other people. They show that their technology can be connected wireless
to other devices, you can easily connect with other devices that you want to use, you
can see the example from the screenshots. For the indirect message, I think that their
product is for the millennials that have more knowledge on new technology. They show
that they can keep up with the trend and that their technology is advanced. As we know,
nowadays devices like cellphone is like part of us human being. Wherever we go we
never forget to bring our cellphone, it’s like cellphone is one of our essentials. But, I
think that from their advertisement it is not suitable for people that is on their 40’s and
above. Their product is too complicated for other people that doesn’t know how to work
or use cellphone.
