BULLETIN
Nº 16 JANUARY 2005 PB16/Rev0
With the expansion of the CH Warman Pump Group’s Jet Pump range, a departure
from the previous discharge diameter designation method was required. The new
designations are based on the mixing chamber sizes, which also allows for easier
comparison to industry standards.
As per normal Warman part numbering convention, the individual part number also
refers to the specific pump sizes, which necessitates the need to change this
numbering. Refer to page 4 and 5 for a complete list detailing the old and new part
numbers for easy reference. These changes will commence on 3 January 2005, and
is expected to be completed on the system by 21 January 2005.
50 JP changes to 20JP
100 JP changes to 42JP
150JP changes to 63JP
200JP changes to 83JP
300JP changes to 125JP
350JP changes to 220JP
Part numbers have been changed to correspond with the new pump designation, e.g.
for the Close Header the part number 200JPC416-A05A now becomes 83JPC416-
A05A.

NEW FEATURES
Hopper Arrangement
We have expanded the Jet Pump range to accommodate customer needs by adding
a new Hopper arrangement. This hopper arrangement previously was considered a
special design only but in answer to the market, it has now been incorporated as a
standard option. The basic part number for the Hopper is *JPH416.
The intake surface area for the Hopper is 5 times greater than the original intake
surface area of the Close Header (*JPC416), resulting in a much improved
entrainment characteristic and reduced chance for blockages.
An inspection hatch has been incorporated into the Hopper of the 63, 83, 125 and
220 sizes to facilitate Nozzle change outs / pump choke clearing, etc without having
to dismantle the connecting pipe work. Due to space restrictions there is no
inspection hatch on the Hopper of the 20 and 42 sizes. Alternatively a Suction Pipe
(*JP322) will be fitted as standard to the Nozzle to facilitate Nozzle change outs.
The original Diffuser (*JP414) only catered for one discharge option. With the
introduction of the new Diffuser (*JP414-1) the customer has an option of an
alternative discharge diameter. This alternative option provides the customer an
option to efficiently maintain line velocity without the need for inefficient reducers.
This is particularly useful when operating to the left of the curve. The table below
reflects the new Diffuser outlet options.
