Murder is Wrong—is one of the three universal values shared by all cultures.

Within our society, we are

bounded to follow law in order for us to live peacefully. From a young age, we are taught that murder is an illegal act
and doing so might lead to some serious consequences or imprisonment.

1. The Imposition of Death Penalty in the Philippines is quite a debatable issue in the country because people are
torn with its pros and cons. We are all aware that “Murder is Wrong” but based on other political platforms,
imposing death penalty can lessen the criminal rate in the Philippines. Moreover, Death Penalty is against the
will of the Church which prohibits killing and therefore, this issue had remained controversial up to this day.
2. If you’ve seen the movie “The First Purge” directed by Gerard McMurray in 2018, the movie depicts a society
that was compelled to accept a night in which all crime is legal including murder. So, a small narration of the
movie, there are people who participated the activity and there are also people who did not. Although the
government had allowed the legal killing that night, but for the eyes of the people, murder and all sort of crimes
committed on those hours are viewed as unethical act. Although the reason why the government conducted the
experiment is to resolve the poverty rate, but overall the actions done in settling their economic problem is
injustice and therefore considered WRONG.
