SPONGE CAKE

Materials needed: flour sifter, mixing bowl, wire whisk, wooden spoon, liquid measuring cup and spoon, paper, electric
mixer, 6 inches Cake box, 6 inches cake border, wax paper whole cake roll box and styro foam, gel paste food color,
sprinkles or any desired decorations for cake.

MIX THE DRY INGREDIENTS MERINGUE:


200 grams Cake Flour
150 grams white sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
MIX THE LIQUID INGREDIENTS:
6 pieces egg yolks
140 grams water
5 grams vanilla
50 grams corn oil
MERINGUE:
6 pieces egg whites
5 grams cream of tartar
100 g. white sugar
Procedure:
1. Combine the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.
2. Separate the egg whites from the yolk. (Use three bowl method)
3. Combine the liquid ingredients.
4. Set aside the egg whites.
5. Incorporate the liquid ingredients and dry ingredients, continue mixing until no lumps.
6. Grease and line the round cake pan and jelly roll pan with lard and wax paper.
7. In another mixing bowl of electric mixer, put the egg whites and cream of tartar, then beat using whisk
attachment. And add the sugar gradually and vanilla until stiff peak is reached.
8. Put the egg white mixture in the batter mixture (combination of dry and liquid ingredients) and do the
cut and fold.
9. Put the cake mixture in the jelly roll pan and round cake pan.
10. Then bake at 300-350 ° F for 12-25 minutes.
