The charts illustrates the proportion of economic industry types’ provision in Turkey from 2000 to 2016

Overall, it can be seen that, in turkey, while the percentage of economic industry sectors' contribution of
agriculture and leisure and hospitality steadily decrease, the figure for construction was seen a
significant increase. Besides, that of healthcare and education remained stable over the period of
sixteen years starting from 2000.

In 2000, the proportion of economic contribution of agriculture was accounted the highest percent, at
roughly a forth which doubled comparing to the that of government, at 12% and considerably went
down together sixteen years later with being 14% and 9% respectively. During that time, the figure for
leisure and hospitality followed by agriculture one which represented for 17% and slightly fell by 3% in
2016.

In terms of other sectors, the period 2000 to 2016 was experienced a dramatical growth of 7% in the
percentage of construction’s contribution to the economy in turkey. Similarly, at the same time, the
figure for manufacturing and trade, utilities and transportation were gently rose to 4% and 2% in turn.
Additionally, the figure for healthcare and education still unchanged at 17% over the period shown.
