Below is an article, translated from English. It was originally published in the Evening Chronicle.

Read it
and write a letter to the newspaper editor (180-200):

 Expressing doubts that this is what people think of Greece

 Pointing out that the article does not reveal how the survey was conducted and by whom
 Presenting your own evaluation of tourist services in Greece

Dear Sir or Madam,

With this letter, I would like to express my profound disagreement with an article published in your
newspaper last week. My name is R.Pappas, and I am a PhD student in hospitality management at the
University of Piraeus. The beforementioned article outlined the evaluation of the services by travellers in
Greece. In my perspective, the results of this survey are far from reality.

My disagreement and questioning derive from the fact that there is no information about the methods
of research. In general, a sound survey should fulfil minimum standards, for example disclosing
information of sampling. In this regard, the journalist or the contractor of the study has omitted to
display this information. Moreover, it is of the highest importance to mention who requested the
survey. For instance, the tobacco industry constantly funds studies supporting that e-cigarette are a
valuable tool for tobacco cessation. However, those publications are not considered scientifically sound
due to a conflict of interest.

Lastly, I would like to provide you with some of my findings on the quality of the touristic services in
Greece. According to my research, the quality of services in Greece are impeccable, adequate to
European standards. I have to say that Greece people are famous for their hospitality and Greece is one
of the safest travel destinations in the world.

P.S. I am at your disposal for further information and to hand you over the results of my research.

Yours Faithfully

R.Pappas
