Purpose of Submission ‘The main purpose of this submission is to briefly describe the Erosion and Sediment Control Plan which include the design of the proposed earth drain system, sediment basin and detention pond for this project in order to obtain the drainage planning approval from Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran (IPS). The design was carried out based on 2™ Edition Urban Storm water Management Manual for Malaysia, MSMA. ‘Storm water management will have multiple objectives, including to: A Ensure the safety of the public + Control nuisance flooding and provide for the safe passage of less frequent and larger flood events Protect property Stabilize the landform and control erosion ‘Optimise the land available for the development Minimize the environmental impact of runoff on water quality Enhance the landscape here To achieve these objectives, the following actions have to be taken: A To plan, design and construct of new storm water facilities and check to ensure s adequate to service the requirements of new and future development + To ensure compatibility with existing storm water facilities, operational methods and maintenance techniques 4 To provide adequate environmental, community and asset protection consistent with acceptable planning, design and construction requirement 2.0 PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT 2 31402 GERAM) Location ‘The site is located within a 130.55 acres land in Tuan Mee Estate, Mukim Jeram, District of Kuala Selangor, Selangor Darul Ehsan adjacent of its existing operating landfill. The Site is well accessible. In term of regional accessibility, a good highway -m and state road has increased the level of site accessibility and it is key of enabler of development. The main access roads linking the Proposed 130.55 acres: ‘expansion of Jeram Sanitary Landfill with the surrounding area comprises:- 170 Rev, 0; 18/03/2016 Pxpansion 100 dere of The Existing Jeram Sanitary Leni Mukim eran, Daerah Kuala Selanger, Selangor Darul Ehsan i. From Shah Alam Access via the Federal Highway (FR2), joining towards the New North Klang Straits Bypass (30) and then through Kapar town by Federal Route 5, luming into State Road Jalan Bukit Kerayong (B1) to the Project Site. It can also be accessed via Jalan Hj, Manan from Meru through Jalan Acob Estate to the site, There is a internal estate earthen access has already been established whilst the proposed project site is also located at the castern boundary of the existing Jeram Sanitary Landfill ii, From Kuala Lumpur Access via the Sprint Highway (B23), joining towards the North Klang. Valley Expressway (E1) turning into Persiaran Setia Alam and continue onto Jalan Meru (B1). Jalan Meru is also assess towards Jalan Hj. Abdul Manan and Persiaran Hamzah Alang (B2) at Klang Central, From there go straight to the Jalan Bukit Kerayong via Jalan Bukit Kapar (B106) and the Proposed Project Site is located at the left portion of the Jalan Bukit Kerayong and existing Jeram Sanitary Landfill. 2.2 Existing Level ‘The existing ground levels varies from the highest of +4.3m and the lowest of +2.98m. Currently the area is covered with palm oil trees and networks of earth drains. 3.0 SEDIMENT & RUNOFF CONTROL ‘The impact of large developing catchment on sediment or runoff quantity can be address by the implementation of sediment basin or detention pond for the proposed development (in accordance with Chapter 7 MSMA 2™ Edition). 3.1 Design of Sediment or Flood Discharge ‘The estimation of sediment or flood discharge are based on the Urban Storm water Management Manual for Malaysia, MSMA 2”! Edition published by DID.
