Q19 A In order to resolve conflict with restaurant owners Zomato should-

1. Come up with a strategy where even restaurant owners get to make exclusive profits
keeping the discounting meals in mind.
2. Not keep such deep discounting prices that rob the restaurants, they should negotiate
with the restaurant owners.
3. Identify the points of agreements and disagreements and then develop a plan to work
on each conflict.
4. They should have a one to one conversation and both the parties should come to a
solution, it should not be a single parties decision.
5. Continue to monitor and follow up on the conflict.

B If I was asked to redesign the Zomato Gold program,

 I would tie up with an OTT platform where, if consumers are buying any of one subscription,
they get another subscription for free.
 The deep discounting strategy would only be kept for dinning option and not for online
orders.
 For online orders, they will get a free delivery, other discounts on payment methods and a
free subscription of the OTT platform that is in tie up.

Hence, this way there would be a win – win situation for everyone and Zomato won’t loose out on
its deal with restaurants.
