Writers Workshop: Revising

1. A list of things I’m going to be looking for when proofreading will be any place with

too much repetition, spelling errors, or anything not correctly put on the right timeline.

Mainly these things are what I will be keeping an eye out for other than other obvious

grammatical errors.

2. I’m setting aside proof reading my essay for Thursday night around 9-11 o’ clock at

night as it’s almost finished though I’d as instructed it’s important to take a break and

walk away from the essay before coming back to proofread it. So any obvious mistakes

will become apparent.

3. I’m going to actually ask my mother, either her or my girlfriend but most likely my

mother. She used to be a reading coordinator for all the kids in the school district and

has always taken an intense passion in what I’ve written, so if I show her this essay

chances are she will critique me as critically as possible. As mentioned in the previous

question, I’ve set aside the proof read for the night of submission with hours to spare.
